I have always wondered what would happen to most of us living in cities when the SHTF and we wind up looking in the face of a system that has totally shut down due to some form of disaster?

So, now I finally have some honest answers from a real person who's actually been through HELL and lived to tell his story.
I hope that you'll take the time, as I did, to read this rather long account of this person's struggle within Bosnia when the doors were shut on this country. The article can be seen at the address below.

I hope that we will all learn from this man, that Prepping isn't and doesn't have to be a negative skill. Granted, our Geographical location on this marble is totally different than the Bosnia article. However, should for some unfortunate reason our cities become our trap, at least we have some insight as to what could happen to our society "IF”

And I really hope that something like this never happens in our lifetime.
Thanks Mark Dice for a Great article.

This is the second time that I have read this article, and it is good to reread to remind me of how things could go bad even here. I have for most of my life, ask if things went bad could I survive. My ex-wife once found me taking inventory of stuff that I figured that we would need if something went south. She like my current wife think that I am over the edge sometimes. But, BUT, they are the type that think the Calvary is just over the next rise also. 🙄

ranger 2012,
Yes, nice article. You know, at my workplace we had a company come in and talk about emergency preparedness. They basically said that we're "on our own" should the SHTF. Nice to know that we'll have to protect ourselves when there are no cops, ambulance, fire dept. and infrastructure. Exactly what I've been telling my co-workers over the past years. Seems that they will sit up and take notice when some Provincial mouthpiece tells them to be prepared. Unlike the States, we'll have to protect ourselves with bows and arrows, shovels and pitchforks (that's provided they're still legal to own).

You still have to watch yourself around people when you're talking possible scenarios. Seems that most folks take a second look at you as to assess your sanity. They don't like to hear that their little world could come to a stand-still.

I say, screw em! It's ones own business what you do with your life. I try and learn as much as I can and "keep on preping"
Hey, I'm almost 70. Still working, prepping, fishing and having a good ole time while I watch the bottom fall out of the basket, again. (I've seen it happen before)
