It would seem that our Illustrious Harper is screwing us again. It has come to my attention that though Harper finally got rid of the antiquated long gun registry, he has been personally working toward taking all our guns away by promoting an international gun control treaty through the UN. Just think of the ramifications, if the GOP takes all our guns away. I have heard nothing about this in mainstream media. But there is some info out there, I will be looking for more info and will post as I find it

The U.N. had a vote on the treaty this past weekend. The treaty didn't make it. A number of countries couldn't agree on the wording. The treaty is drafted in such a way that it has to be passed by a unanimous decision. If even one of the 170 plus countries affected rejects the treaty as worded, it won't pass. This is why we haven't been affected by it, even though they've been working on it for years. They just can't get everyone to agree on everything. Which is, so far, good news for us.

they always reject things at first for some reason then have a tendancy to pass them eventually with minor changes that still don't serve us...I think more guns have been sold in Canada since the registration law was taken out and that has improved the economy...there will be a time when they will come take them away (or try) but I'm betting the criminals will still have their guns...only the good people will suffer any loss from this.
