So I've introduced myself in another post(not sure if it's approved yet), and I'd like to expand on a tiny bit I talked about in that post.
My wife, daughter and I now have approximately 200 acres on Vancouver Island. It's out of the way(about 30-40 minutes out of town), on a lake, not really accessible unless you know what you're doing, and we'd like to meet people that want an off grid lifestyle as much as we do. I've also spent the last year finding and vetting a former Army Ranger, and Recon Marine that can come up once a month to teach us what we consider to be absolutely pivotal skills. I'm working on medical training myself, and my wife is working on farming skills. Once we've got that down, we'll swap so we've both got the skills required for an emergency.
We start construction on our earthbag home next weekend, and would be willing to discuss people living on our property for free, assuming we're all on the same page. We'd even be willing to help you build a tiny home, or an earthbag home, or even something in the ground if need be. We'd like to remain inconspicuous though. Animals are obviously allowed within reason(we're not starting a cattle ranch).
I'm not sure when I'll be allowed to send or receive PM's, so if I get enough interest here I might set up a burner email address, and post it here to discuss with whomever.
Long story short? We're fairly done with the bullshit. We want a stress free life, with no debt and the ability to gain skills we think are valuable. If you're in the same boat, let me know and we'll take it from there.
Why isn't anyone following this up? Every island prepper should be all over this. Is it because he"s angry? Well aren't you; don't you feel the rage too? Shy? Don't be, you gotta start somewhere other than just buying stuff. Next to your brain, community is the best thing going for you...time is running out. You need to network as much as possible; might not work out, but you will have learned quite a lot. I'm no where near the island and it doesn't effect me but for our brothers and sisters there, here is an opportunity...

Probably because people are paranoid he might be just trolling.
Next, it's a big island. Even saying north (I am assuming), mid, or South Island might garner more responses.
Also, some/most people wouldn't jump on the idea of selling their house and moving in until they have met be angry one first... I'd be worried if they did.

Sadly no takers it seems. I'd like to mention though, we're not asking anyone to sell their house! Even if you want/need just a bugout location, we're fine with that. We're looking to network!
