Just saw a documentary on tv about 5 different groups of young urban Canadians who knew nothing about farming , go out and bought their own farmland !( "To Make A Farm" 2011)

Just a thought, but please tell me your acreage is not below the Fraser Canyon

chilcotin, are you referring to the often used term where the canyon heads south from Lytton or the actual which begins at Soda Creek Canyon and then follows the huge Fraser fault line?

Hi DrDragon. No I was concerned about any property south of Hope itself because of the funnel effect for traffic converging up toward Hope. But if I had a chance to get a piece of land around Lytton, I think that could be a good choice. The canyon is a natural fortress, there is some good land there great for vegetables and fruit. I don't think too much in terms of fault lines. I don't think an earthquake above the Lower mainland will have a physically devastating effect in the interior. Good luck with your purchase, it is a great next move.
