Hey All!!

I am looking at organizing a Tactical Pistol Course here in Port Alberni. I was planning on maybe August sometime. It also looks like the cost would be around (not sure yet) $500 per person. This would include 20 hours of insctruction (over 2 days) and hands on training by 2 Professional and S.W.A.T. trained instuctors. I need a minimum of 10 people enrolled to make this happen.

I am pretty excited about having this level of instruction because there isn't much point in owning a firearm if you are not able to use it effectivly when the time comes....

I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say.

Unfortunately not. Pistol and ammo is required. I am still waiting to hear from the instructors on the round count required. I will let you know.

Look to the club to book some of the club handguns,
ask the instructors if they can bring extra pistols and you rent them or buy the ammo upfront and use them.

Properly certified firearms instructors will most often require that you are licensed to posses the gear you are going to be using, otherwise the clinic will degrade into a basic handling class and no real operational skills will be passed on.

Its how I run my courses, you have to have a basic working knowledge of how to operate the firearms you're going to be using on my courses before you can come on one of my courses simply from a safety stand point. I don't want anybody getting shot while "learning to walk" and I doubt these instructors do either.

I certainly will do jonsey. If anybody has any questions, please, do not hesitate and ask. I am pretty excited about hosting this course. This is a pretty awesome level of instruction that is being offered to everyday people. I also think that it will be pretty fun too!!

I am relatively new to this forum, and can't seem to send PMs. Any advice on how to activate that feature?
