We met once and that was great and I have been quiet but actively reading posts. We are getting ready to list our house in the Burbs and have our eye on a big acreage not far from here. I think it may be close to Dandypratt too. The place has a "HUGE" shop! I intend to use the shop to store my goodies, after I've "fortified" it a bit.

Reading about the potential for sustainable communities - I know at least one of you doesn't have enough land to plant and grow as much as you would like but your knowledge base on canning, dehydrating and engineering would be invaluable (Wookie). Dandypratt has homeschooling experience, land, agricultural knowledge and again canning, etc. You know one of us is a Chef and could make a Rhino's Ahole taste great! Dandy also has a wealth of dried food knowledge and some amazing recipies from the product she sells. I've yet to meet Duffman.

We have firearms and supplies (including medical), tools and other stuff. You guys do to.
Perhaps it is almost time for us to become a "family" - trust each other with info, catalogue and plan to "Bug out" to one location?

If we manage to get our land then I plan to build a house that has a rain water capture system and solar back up. So far this is all "subject to" but worth opening a thread for, no?

Would it be worth us meeting again but come with an "inventory list" that we trust to one member to maintain and update as needed? Are we ready to go this far? Will a SHTF event be too late?
