I was up early this morning and went out in a surprise snow storm to look after our animals. The wind was gusting big and the snow coming sideways.. The storm was bad enough that it upset the animals! It really makes you realize that even when you plan and prepare it will not be easy to live well without all that we have become accustomed to.. I am thankful to have this site for the ideas, support and comradery it provides.. Thanks to everyone 🙂

Same weather here in Cariboo. Even the cold weather crops such as spinach, kale and leeks which I have been growing as seedlings in the house are sitting here shivering looking out the window. Rhubarb has grown a quarter inch in two weeks. Oh well!!
