How much more powerful was the second earthquake than the first one? intensity of an earthquake is rated using the Richter scale. Richter scale rating of an earthquake of intensity x is given by R = log x/10 x0 where x0 is the intensity of an earthquake of a certain small size, 4.8. Earthquake A had a Richter scale rating of 6.4, and earthquake B had a rating of 7.2. How much more powerful was the 2nd earthquake than the first one?
