I suffered for years from Migraines, 2-3 a week or I would get cluster migraines that lasted up to 3 months at a time.
The Neurologist suggested I stop eating peanuts and peanut butter, after he talked to me.
So by making sure I drink enough water, no Peanuts or peanut butter, no Migraines for months now, months!
My Doc said he gets Migraines when he eats cheese, someone else said when they eat almonds.
Please post your own Migraine causing, or other debilitating food allergy issues to assist others who may be suffering.
My other is Milk, I am highly allergic to Milk, all parts of the Milk, you do not even want to know what happens to me, it is nasty
Mushrooms also give me issues, not anything close to the Milk allergy, but bad enough and Beer!
so -
Peanuts
Milk
Mushrooms
Beer
edit to add; Almonds they also affect people
post your own below, so other people may benefit. Hey laugh if you want to, but you just might help someone else who is in need!

IN SHfT scenarios and before, sharing knowledge is gold and helping others is just plain nice, in any and all religions.
Any wine with added sulfites and some foods with added sulfites....I'm fine with naturally occurring sulfites but if there is a high concentration of added sulfites....I feel so sick and get a migraine.
I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband
I have one family member that is lactose intolerant. I'm gluten sensitive. Migraines - triggers are STRESS...... poppy seeds, MSG. When I lived on the coast, mind you I worked for the airlines I got them a lot. Maybe fuel fumes as my office was just inside the door of the hangar. I grow feverfew for this reason. When I get that light twinkling behind my eyes I take a leaf, mash it up and have a tea. BUT then gallbladder issues, so no sausage, greasey foods, ice cream, and peanut butter. So most of Tim's ...... notta. Those big beautiful muffins from Costco....... notta.
Why run, you'll only die tired! si vis pacem para pacem
food reasons -- gluten, eggs when eaten on their own, chocolate 😥
Now if I get a headache, I will eat chocolate cause the dern thing can't get much worse.
Lactose intolerance (so no milk, cheese or chocolate), red wine, wheat, diesel fumes(possible petrochemical issues) etc. Drinking lots of water all the time is good. First aid - take 2 nurofen tabs, put icepack on head and hide in a dark room and try and sleep it off. Currently studying natural therapies at College so I will let you know what else can be done (as soon as I know).

Susannah, what are Nurofen tabs, I have never heard of them.
Hi Wilderness Return
Nurofen are also known as Ibuprofen - they are "Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs". You can purchase them in supermarkets in Australia (they make migraine strength tabs which work really fast) They may be known under another name in Canada - maybe Brufen, inflam, niapren, rafen ??? Useful for back pain to reduce inflammation as well. Your local Pharmacist may be able to help you locate them.

Oy..
I am allergic to anti inflam pills, so non of them for me, but thanks for the info for other!

Just curious .. what do you do to relieve migraines when they hit?
I've also found ginger useful (from health food store in tablet form) to cope with nausea but it does not relieve the pain (obviously). Is your neck OK and your upper back? Sometimes chiropractics can fix the problem for you (constant migraines) without you even being aware that there is a problem with your back & neck!
Russell Coight....outback legend
Chiro yes!
Tylenol Ultra Migraine, drink lots of water, lots!
Ginger does help with the Nausea, or at worse Ginger Ale, but I really like to slice and grind some ginger into a pot of water, bring to a boil and add in a dollop of honey. I had migraines so often for so long that unless the are at the ultimate strength migraines, I just work through them.
Since not having Peanut Butter, or Nuts the frequency of the Migraines are about every 4 months or so, so really no big deal now. Those come from other allergy attacks or from pressure on the neck or just too much stress.
WR - Thanks for the info re how to use real ginger for nausea.

I used to get headaches related to blood sugar. If I got hungry and didn't eat something right away I would get a headache that slowly moved to a migraine and once started, no going back. A couple of Advil might stop it if I got there in time.
Since cutting out grains the blood sugar issues have stopped. Even if I don't eat for hours after the first pangs I feel fine.
Hey Perf,
can you tell me a little more about the no grains thing please. I did a little experiment, I only ate Corn Thins (think puffed wheat rounds but thinner and tasty) with fish on top for Breaky. Well at about 2-3 I finally get hungry again If I eat regular Breaky, by 9-10 hungry by 11 very hungry.
Then at Lunch Either a can of chick peas with Fish or Turkey etc with some dressing or Salad ( broccoli coleslaw yum yum) with the same as the Chick Peas, then I am not hungry till about 7 pm, regular lunch with bread, back to being hungry at 4-5ish and ravenously hungry by 6-7.
Perfesser - I've gotta admit that I'm curious too. Which grains?

It's called paleolithic eating or primal blueprint. Paleolithic is "before agriculture". A time when grains, legumes and dairy were not part of our diet.

There's a food pyramid here. Kinda hard to get used to some of the ideas after what we've always been taught. http://www.marksdailyapple.com/how-to-succeed-with-the-primal-blueprint/#fitness
