I'm in Simcoe County, Ontario. After years of explorations, back home with the family and my wife. Preparing for the transitions ahead. Preping for the worst, manifesting the best.
Started with water purification, the Berkey Water filters. Loving it so much, and feeling massive demand, became a Canadian distributor. Check out and if you are feeling it, please spread the word: http://www.ConsciousWater.ca
Feels good to be providing folks with something so empowering. Water equals life... and these units will provide you and your family with a healthful water source, without water pressure or electricity. Gravity Fed! Filters last 7-10 years! awesome... can even purify stagnant pond water.
All the best to you and yours, feel the flow,
Scott
I did a lot of research on the subject of water purification rather than just filtering and decided on Berky. I bought a Crown Berky with 8 black Berky purification elements and after purifying the first container I was simply amazed. You have to know me to understand how much of a skeptic I am but to put it bluntly both my wife and myself were astounded at the difference in the taste of our water after our first drink.
We have a filtering system in our RV and thought that it did a good job with the water when we traveled but after tasting the difference we actually put all our drinking water through the Berky and use the filter for our shower and dish washing water. We could not imagine going anywhere without our Berky and in fact we had a custom cabinet made for it in our 5th wheel trailer so that when we are traveling we are able to drink only water that has been through our Berky.
As I said I am a skeptic and I am convinced and I highly recommend the Berky system and advise anyone into prepping to have one. They come in different sizes and there will be one that will suit your needs. No I do not work for the company nor am I in anyway connected to the company but I try to pass along what my wife and myself find that works to other preppers and without a word of a lie this product works.
One last thing; maybe people could save a buck or two by buying their Berky and/or purification elements from a dealer in the states but I strongly suggest we all support our Canadian dealer or else we won’t have them very much longer. I know I will.

Captain Ahab,
Wow what a fantastic testimonial! And a custom cabinet too, excellent. Great to hear and know you are loving you Crown Berkey. Could I please add your words to my testimonials page about Berkey products? http://www.consciouswater.ca/water-filter-reviews/
Regarding saving a buck or two... after buying from a dealer in the states... not really. After factoring in the exchange rate, customs and duty fees, these add up higher than Conscious Water prices. Appreciate your support Captain!
Ahoy
Hi ConsciousWater:
By all means you can add my words to your testimonial page. I would not write nor tell other preppers about the Berky system if it didn’t work for my wife and myself exactly as or better than advertised.
As for the cheaper prices out of the states - I wrote that so that if others failed to factor in the exchange, which at this particular time is little if any, along with customs & duties etc. that they would hopefully support a Canadian distributor before sending their hard earned money out of Canada.
When I went looking for my Berky only one place had the Crown model available which is the one I wanted to have. It seems that the Crown is not always available for some reason.
Pretty soon I will be in the market for another 4 pairs or more of black purification elements and I will be sure to contact you for them.
I know a fantastic carpenter in Kelowna, BC whom I had build the custom cabinet so that the Berky could sit on top when we were stopped and camping and it nestles nicely inside the cabinet when we were on the road. It works and looks fantastic.
I wish you success.

I bought the Big Berkey two years ago and it's a great system! It's easy to use and does a great job. Unfortunately they put flouride in my municipal water 🙁 When I found out, I bought the flouride filter and added it to my Berkey. It's not perfect. It uses aluminum to remove the flouride. Although Berkey claims that there's less aluminum in your filtered water than if you didn't filter at all. I also saw an interview with Dr. Mercola and a floride expert (forgot his name, but he was wearing a Davy Crocket jacket). According to this guy, the aluminum process is very effective at lowering flouride levels from say 90ppm down to low levels and based on this, the 99.7% reduction is an extrapolated claimed if you start with 1ppm water. They did not test starting with water that only contains 1ppm. He says it's easy to remove the first 99%, but hard to remove the last 1%, so who knows how effective this methode really is when starting with 1ppm? I'd like to see a study on this. Flouride ions are tiny and hard to get rid of. That said, I'm sure the Berkey filter is probably still the best option available.
What I do is bring source water from my refuge back to the city whenever possible. I use the Berkey for cooking water or whenever I run out of source water. If you don't have a Berkey already, I highly recommend it! It's much better than a Britta filter! It's also great to buy local if possible.
