Spending some time at the camper, so I decided to try out some qrp.
I threw my 29.5' longwire into a tree, running down to the trailer.
I powered the radio with a folding solar panel, and set up all the wires, etc.
Getting spots on RBN up to 840km away!
The only downside right now is powering the small laptop. Right now I have 110vac at the trailer, so not a huge issue for these tests.
I have a small battery but my inverter is at home.
I've ordered a 12v power adaptor to run the laptop, but that will still draw more than I would like.
Time to look into other options for sending the CQ to the radio!
