And it can't stay at the current rate, not the way the population is growing. The rate is only going to keep increasing, which means it's going to run out much sooner that this projection. Scary.

Think of it this way, it the oil number is even remotely close, what does that portend in say 1 generation...or 2 from now /// people are getting pissed all over, we do not see it to any great degree here & now, but unless there is a massive revolution soon in technology to lessen the dependence on fossil fuels things will only get worse - think greater class seperation...(as in today in Cypress)

Maybe we need to shift our thinking, examine how we exist as a society? Seriously this suburban capitalistic way of life is not sustainable. We live on finite planet, So mass continuous consumption is absolute lunatic. I have hope the People are waking up from the American dream to a nightmare reality.
