I just got in a few packets of seeds from SaltSpring Seeds.
I have lots more open polinated seeds to round up for next year.
Any suggestions of Canadian vendors?

Hope you picked it up on the 2 for 1 sale they have in place under the end of Dec, I did the very same, I do recommend carefully reading his information and making sure they work with your garden zone.. He is very good about talking about how things work on the west coast..

However for those in harder zones and or those who want to work around "new" frost dates on the front and back end, who are trying to do two season plantings and need very hardy and very short season producers.. I highly recommend looking at https://www.heritageharvestseed.com/ but watch how many seeds you get in your package, in many cases you are only getting enough to try the plant and use them as a seed saving base.

https://prseeds.ca/seeds/ is a outstanding source as well, they are big on the seed saver pledge which is great!

For those that want a huge selection of all the Canadian seed house sources, check out the small farm listings

http://smallfarmcanada.ca/2018/2019-seed-buying-guide/

There is a massive online listing given but I am not being able to copy them all..

add an "h" to the beginning of the link...likely a copy/paste error

I love his two for one sale! And agree... Make certain your picking our zone seed. Im in mountainous Alberta, which is a far cry from Salt Springs. My sister lives on that island, so I had a chance to speak with him in person-a wonderful resource of information. If you send him an email with any questions and your zone, he will help you navagate what you could grow.
Also, I'm a huge believer in hard copy information on the farm. There are great books out there for harvesting seed and it's a hugely valuable skill for a prepper to have.
