This a list of books that I figured would be needed in an after TSHTF community. I am sure that there is another hundred that I have overlooked, so if you can add to it please do.

Trades Book List

Chemistry, Metallurgy, HAVAC, Construction, Welding (all), Arch/Mech/Elec. Drafting, Structural, Construction, Controls, Computer, Electrical, Stationary/ Plumbing, Mapping/ Survey, Fluid/hydraulic, Mechanical Solar/wind/hydraulic energy, Gas/diesel Engines, Die making, Smelting/metal casting, mining, black smithing.

Homesteading

Log home, Carpentry, Wainwright, Pottery, Tanning, Shoe making, Tack/saddles, Weaving Looms, Carding, Dyeing/ cleaning, Cement/form making, Herbal medicines, Plant/herb drying, Brewing/Distilling, Food canning/preserving, Farming, Charcoal making, Sailing/boating, Net fishing, Smoking meat/fish/game. Husbandry, Veterinary.

Medical

Prescription Drug guide, Nursing, Emergency surgery, Combat first aid, Allergies, Palliative care , Paediatrics.

Survival

SAS, survival handbook, Tracking, canoeing, birch craft, bush lore, emergency shelters. military field SOP's. Improvised munitions, demolitions, defensive structures, improvised weapons, stealth/camouflage.

Many of these books may be controversial, and may throw up red flags all over ?home security agencies?, but this is my idea of a survival library should contain.

What a great list. My favorite book is titled 'The Have More Plan' by Ed & Carolyn Robinson. It was written in the '40's' to help families provide for themselves during and after the war, and is as applicable now as it was then. It is a free download on line in pdf format. Just search the title.
