might help if you put where you are located in your personal info,

Our if you live in BC, great Vancouver, area..etc
I have been reaching out to others and they are trying to set p a meeting this month and hopefully another before years end. The depots I received were very welcoming and prompt to respect to my replying to their posts!
Good luck, my experience has been very positive and I am looking forward to meeting other of "like minded individuals."
I have lived in the parkland, to the south west of Riding Mountain in Russell, Mb. You describe the dauphin area very well giving the landscape the respect it deserves.
I have visited some communal living type situations in Manitoba, but they remain as specks on a map, and kinda few and far between. I know it's up to us to create some communities that work for both us and the landscape but most people still settle with trying to make it work within their somewhat mainstream societal roles. Ie. sticking to the cities and high service urban areas.
As I just moved to the Anola area, I'm mainly hoping to start meeting people in the area and finding some like minded individuals.
