I have his site pinned (on pinterest) because he has simplified a lot of meal planning. Everything is really simple too.

Thanks 'bluegrrl' what a great link. Guess what we are eating next week!
You are welcome. I'm glad that my time on pinterest has been fruitful. I did get here from there as well. 😀
There are plenty of preppers there who are putting together their caches and have some tried and true recipes, projects and advice - from ammo to harvesting and drying beans.

I'm posting a link for a Dehydrator book that tells you how to do potatoes (you'll have to scroll down cos potatoes are #30)

Awesome. Thank you!
My small instruction booklet is very limited and all fruits are treated the same, as are all veggies.

Hi guys...just a quick update. We did a test run of diced potatoes using the method outlined in the 'dehydrator book'...a great success. It dried quick and well and rehydrated easily. Can't wait for the stew test. Next we are going to try ground buffalo (because of the low fat content for safe storage). Maybe ground jerky would be a good addition to stews. Thanks again for the great links!
