Well, since the 11th of this month, the earth is shaking all over!

Magnitude 6.5 VANUATU April 14, 2012
Magnitude 6.9 GULF OF CALIFORNIA April 12, 2012
Magnitude 4.5 OFF SHORE NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA April 12, 2012
Magnitude 6.5 MICHOACAN, MEXICO April 11, 2012
Magnitude 5.9 OFF THE COAST OF OREGON April 11, 2012
Magnitude 8.2 OFF THE WEST COAST OF NORTHERN SUMATRA April 11, 2012
Magnitude 8.6 OFF THE WEST COAST OF NORTHERN SUMATRA April 11, 2012

These are the ones that caught my attention on USGS and I realize earthquakes happen every day but this many strong quakes over a short time all over the world, well it makes me wonder.
Etna is experiencing a major eruption in Italy. Some Alaskan volcanoes have been in red alert zone over the past couple of months.
Good thing we are preppers! 🙂

lol true enough.
My Dad used to say,
Shaken = earthquake
Stirred = flood
On ice = snow/ice
Dry = drought
and try not to get caught up in any of them!

lol

LOL I am not picky.. pass the booze! (jk. jk. kinda?)

I make wines and beer. I would love to make other stuff but, no one to make it with and my kids (thankfully) have ZERO interest in that (teenagers who do not want to drink or do drugs... YES! One thing I am always happy about)!!

My youngest started an electrical fire on Sunday. Irate customer yesterday, disappointed a different customer (not intentionally) yesterday, oldest kid pitched a fit over something stupid which caused a 2 hours meltdown last night, today... I have been playing catch up and would LOVE to light a bonfire, grab the drums, make a drink, head outside and howl at the moon but, I am still kind of playing catch up and the neighbours in town are moody... they don't like our drums or the kid's practicing fiddle outside. UGH. I hate the city.

Thanks...They are fine. Blew 4 fuses though and we still haven't been able to reconnect the one fuse (I want the plug taken out and capped off but am afraid to do it myself). I called for an electrician and the cost is INSANE! So, I will wait til someone is dumb enough to ask if I got it fixed and I say "No, could you?" lol One of my friends will eventually. Til then we have only half the lights/plugs in our kitchen and our bathroom is lit by solar light 🙂 It was freaky though. A tossed glass of water, smashed and BANG BANG BANG POP POP POP... sparks flying then FLAME! YIKES! It was out as quick as it started but, fried the fuses, the internet modem, the one air filter and the phone.

sounds very scary...glad no one was hurt. Do you not have GFI plugs in the kitchen?

I had the house rewired when I moved in....the cost was $150.00 an outlet which didn't seem bad to me, plus the cost of the new panel.
