Was wondering today what would be my earliest warning to me, that its happening....like now. Not months from now potentially, or next year, but the moment that I feel I should get moving like right now, the shit has hit the fan and societal breakdown is beginning but most people just may not see it yet. Of course if it was happening like this, it would have to be something less noticeable than say a massive terror attack or military strike from an enemy nation or some cataclysmic event, but one of the more "is this really happening" events like a sudden economic utter collapse or the government officially turning on us all. What would have to be our early warning that there is no return from. What would cause you to board up the house and circle the wagons so to speak?

Virgo. 😆

EDIT:
Oh, you meant warning sign .... Choose from any of the following:
1. Having HR rep enter my office with my manager !
2. Being sent home from work (cause there is a real TEOTWAWKI) !
3. The colour of the sky stays a consistent different hue than normal.
Red = BAD! Possibly a "Stick your head between your ... and kiss your ... goodbye." scenario, but I'll never give up without a fight.
DARK GREY @ day (BLACK @ night) = Impending doom (SHTF).
4. A noticeable increase in police presence on major city streets. I'm not talking more Road Checks for DUIs, I'm talking something else ....
5. Military vehicles observed on city streets or rolling out from CFB Edmonton in droves.
6. No planes in the air. I see them every day in this city, overhead at work or when at home on the balcony, so if I wasn't seeing them, I'd be questioning.
7. Lots and lots of smoke and flame arising from all the refineries in the surrounding Edmonton region.
8. Too many city house/apartment fires within a short time span .... Unsure about this one.

Is what you say worth at least a Canadian nickel now?
Cause two cents ain't worth squat anymore !

Strike 1: Banks won't open
Strike 2: Utilities go offline (power, water, phone, cable)
Strike 3: All mass media goes silent (radio, TV, satellite, internet)
I'm out!

I would have to agree with Buggie and Barking mad, in that order.....

Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...

What a great topic, something we all need to think about. I have often wondered if something were to happen, I would very likely be on to it before many other people, able to get my kids and my mom together and say, "Get your BOBs (something I am still working on), we're leaving town," or at the very least, "You are all to stay in this house until I figure out what's going on." There have been some really good warning signs listed here. I was researching this a bit and found these:

Increase in violence and looting
The slow removal of citizens' rights
The confiscation of firearms
Mass evacuations
People being relocated to relief camps
Warnings that utilities will be out for extended periods of time
Shortage of food and gas

I'm sure there are more...

What?.... Im confused. You're still waiting for something to happen? Really? (LOL) I've already sold the house and moved to the retreat with three years of busting my arse into it.
I like to quote Ran Prier at moments like this, " If every year from here to 2020 is half as eventful, we'll be living in railroad cars, eating grass, and still waiting for the big crash we've been led to expect from watching movies designed to push our emotional buttons and be over in two hours."

I have a Tactical Harness and I have a Tool Belt. The Tool Belt is more Useful.
