I thought you were talking about me, and then I looked it up.

Can't help you, but it reminded me of one of the K-Tel craft kits in the 70s. There was one which made it easy to knit in a circle using a solid plastic ring with hooks that looks very much like the spikey ring on your machine. basically you used a crochet hook to almost crochet a knit using the ring inplace of knitting needles. I fooled around with one and went back to using 4 needles and making socks without seams in the toes. The main problem people had with knitting machines once civilization arrived, is that the yarn used, needed to be manufactured and we didn't have any. Our wool came straight from the sheep and was finger twisted straight out of the bag of carded wool.

you can still buy the circle knitting rings in a pack of five sizes at walmart, for dirt cheap, if that helps any..

Well I just got a education on knitting...I went looking for more info on these things, and there are two on ebay that look like the one I bought but with fewer assesories, and the buy now price is 1400.00 US 😯
I paid 175.00 so I think I did ok, though If I would have checked sooner I may not have given it to my mother for Christmas and put it on ebay instead......I have a spare Mauser in 6.5 that im sure she would have been just as happy to have.
This should quallify as a precious metal investment...like a ounce of gold, but more useful
