I am hoping that one of you will know if there is such a thing as a very large screen, very large key pad cell phone or something else for texting.

Mom can no longer text as her sight is going and her hands shake too much. Having a "voice texting" app is no an option as mom really hasn't been able to speak for 2 years now.

How large? I have a samsung galaxy note, which is a cross between a phone and tablet. It is 5.5" X 3". It takes some getting used to because it is bigger than a regular cell, but still fits in a pocket. I bought it because my eyes are not what they used to be and I can see the text much easier. I also like the feature of the stylus pen (included) to type because I never got used to the touch keyboards. I think my fingers are to big. It is more like a mini computer than a phone and you have service no matter where you go. They are fairly expensive unless take a 2 or 3 year contact. So it depends on what she will use it for. If it is only texting it may not be the right choice for her. I am sure there are tablets out there that can accommodate texting.

What about a tablet instead of a cell phone....much bigger and easier to see than a cell phone. Good luck with your search.
