Yup. I know of many of these stories. Also a few "All Arms To The Gate!" stories. Consider 50+ people running to a security gate, at the call of a "Town Crier" with pole arms, swords, crossbows, longbows, knifes and cooking forks, putting up a shield wall against a few trucks of armed rednecks pissed off they couldn't get into the party. Then consider overwhelmed intruders running off into the woods and a few Knights politely parking their abandoned vehicles in the parking lot. That's more of what this post is about.
