This is probably not the right forum for this post but I couldn't find a more relevant one. I am interested in hearing how others from around the world feel about the current situation in Egypt. As well as your views in general concerning the condition of the political and socioeconomic landscape in your countries. In general what conditions helped you decide to join a website like this. Being American we get spoon fed most of our information about the rest of the world by our main stream media, so we know what they want us to know. I would like to hear what those from other countries feel directly from them. Thank you.

from your post, i am presuming you are in the usa. here in canada the media is not a lot more informative or straight forward than the american versions. i do not trust the information i am getting and therefore do not have an opinion other than more reliable/trustworthy info required. something about the egyption situation as it is being reported is not adding up well at all.

my personal experience with media reports is that they seriously mis represent the reality of those actually involved.

cj. What do you folks in Canada see as the most likely event that could cause a breakdown in society? Economic collapse, terrorism, break down of the grid including a breakdown in transportation with the coming inflated oil prices. What bothers you the most? I think the majority here see a economic meltdown as the more likely problem.

RIOT..LIKE AN...EYGPTAIN

Bangles fan?

Anyway the whole of North Africa is in an uproar. To be fear, about time! Democracy is breaking out everywhere...problem is in most of these 'countries' there is no one to fill the void. Also most of these 'countries' are only held together by their beskpot leaders without whom will splinter apart into sectarian violence.

re: ghsebldr asking for views on Egyptfrom Cdns ....IMO the whole Middle East scenario is not something that is happenstance. IMO this is all orchestrated from UN . US is just a front....I believe agents provocateurs went into Eg and other spots since one of them (CIA) was taken, held in the news.....now no more news on him it was on Al Jazeera and mainstream CBC news. Other CIA agents went on CNN and described the whole Mid East restructure and how it was rigged..At first hearing of the uprisings I thought good for the pple of Egypt, Tunisia etc,. but upon research I see the guy that is waiting in the wings for Khadafis position after was Khadafi's #2...Al Baradei a US asset in the UN. therefore nothin is going to change...what a sham ..the current general whose handling things in the absence of Khadafi also not on the side of the citizenry. I feel sorry so many lives lost for nought
Concerning the breakdown of Canadian life ...this is currently well under way with elected leaders and their platforms unable to provide needs of the pple the programs are of no future use since leader are insufficiently intellectual to present on renewable energy changes, funding for hospital equipment and input to pension and health programs...worse is meaness pulling the rug on veterans pensions, giving vets one-time payout, failing to give consequence to natural remedies for all things, not listening to their own citizens,, treating themselves to luxury trips several times a year and on and on. People are waking up to the gravity of these matters and each year abstain from voting realizing is all a game.........Genociding the first nations pple started with giving them a smallpox blanket and now first nation to get the H1N1 vaccine poison. A theatre of fair play covering taking as much money as possible from the citizen as can be taken without forcing onto the street. Even the do-gooders can see whats happening now in my province. This is a breakdown of society. As well there is no consideration for promotion of education in right brain activities so there may be balance between men and women as there was in Pharonic Egpytian times. Those days the culture was run on balance in all things. Women took care of one section and men the other running things together. Since the implementation of the patriarchal rule balance has gone...arts, spirituality and music cut from govt budgets. Prisons are full of men as their spiritual right brain has shrunk ..come to abuse the fem and children in increasing numbers. A fail-safe mechanism that humans possess is empathy cultured and grown in the right brain. With only left brain encouragement (slice and dice) you increasingly witness the culture we see today.. in the future when we change back to balance of m and f,...oppressing another nation or neighbour will be as foreign as the act of cannibalism ....................until we change back to an equal balance of male and female of course the breakdown will continue and everyone will witness daily what we see across the globe.

What I think about the current situation in Egypt. Are you are familiar with the board game called risk. Basically the game is about world domination. The Powers That Be (the people behind the curtain) are on the move disrupting society's to make there moves less noticeable, aka with the help of the stupids meda of the world who are own by a very small group.

My views in general concerning the condition of the political and socioeconomic landscape in Canada. Canadian are also stupid to elect in a conservative government. In other wards they voted in the rapers and pillager of Mother Earth. With MP Steven Harper, he is the bitch of the mining and oil industries. The man through his dictator ship, because you can't have any ideas of your own under him, is putting thousands in the food bank lines. It looks like there cutting out the middle class.

There was no conditions to helped me decide to join a website like this. I belong to many web site along theses lines.

Not sure were you get that from, I was thinking there was a movement to end all religions in the world. And begin a more holistic world.

Well, Beth, U.S. has those food bank lines..we just call them EBT cards. No id required when shopping, no problem, can be sold, or bartered for drugs...it's a fricking mess here.

And freedom403 may be getting that info from the American news..Hillary Clinton speaks good for the Muslim Broherhood taking control...I haven't listened or watched tv since 2008, but read lots on the internet news...that account I believe came from her.

oh for sure jay jay, up the race card is always a easy for the war machine to justify there acting of instillation in other country's , and it make all the others, religions, Christians Jews etc feel there way might be lost, or taken over. fear is a powerful tool to repress a nations people.
I get a kick out of watching the America news, its so crazy, its funny. especially when the head of government get up at there podium and say insane things. A lot of wtf, I can't believe they said that, head shakes.
