I am trying to prepare...tho I am slightly physically challenged, and doubt that I could do any large amount of canning and preserves, which is really all I know. I am not looking for frozen food but rather food which is predried and just needs water, and which lasts at least 5 years, Ive seen a company in Alb but the shipping for the volume I want to buy would be silly. Anyone know a place to purchase and pick up items...{}}they arent exactly the emergency packs prepared by military.}...Can anyone direct me? I am trying to figure out a reasonably accessible, arable bugout place outside of Hamilton, and yup, all my family thinks Im nuts, but it is absolutely my goal to be ready, and try to provide for my family...{}tho Im nuts, I know that they will be needing help and I intend to give it. }
But it is hard to find others like minded, and yes, neighbors sound like community , but that is unrealistic , so Im looking for creating or joining a community to share ideas . I do have some important things "in process" but I would sure appreciate some suggestions... I found this site after much searching...and with much relief and JOY......I was so delighted that many of you do live nearby...
.well, like I dont have to join the Mormons in Utah....but they are the ONES who really have it together, and could teach us all so much.....like how to make candles that do NOT have any scent ..... But I havent figured out the etiquette to just go up to a LDS church and beg lol....Though I will try anywhere. ps does anyone know zeolight? I know that it is really for external use..If that is the case, why do they speak of it ias an a detoxifyi -er-
ALL and any helpful hints appreciated
Jaycee First place to start is to read over all the blogs.... thanks

Welcome to the site. There are a number of people here from the Hamilton area. There is a group getting together this coming Saturday, Aug 25 at Gage Park. If you have access to Costco they have dehydrated food in cans and the price includes shipping.

Welcome Jaycee and greetings from Northern Ontario. As JAB siad Costco is a good source of prepper type foods. They also sell MRE's (meals ready to eat).

@Jaycee. Glad we could be of help. If you shop online at Costco the price quoted includes shipping. We will be meeting in the parking lot off of Lawrence Rd near the greenhouses at 1pm. Hope to see you there.
