Not Much to say. He was a man of Honour.
I will miss that he shared this time of unprecedented change with us, That he warned who he could, walked his own path seeking neither fame nor fortune.
Well Done, Michael. I'll raise a beer to his memory

I just watched Abby Martens tribute...and realised I'm not quite done with this post. I'm surprised how much this has affected me over the last few days. I'm not a hero worshiping type nor am I squeamish about death or loss, yet I have shed tears for a perfect stranger. I suppose its because he was an influence in the way I live today. 2010, when I was piecing together the implications of 2008 and coming to my own conclusion that it was time for me to make the big move and begin building My Lifeboat full time, was the year I watched Collapse. It was one of the many contributors that put the fire under my arse to get on with it and get it done now. So he is partially responsible for the life I live now. That's how he affected my life and with his loss, I am reminded of his unknowing impact on the person I have become. Well, back to working on repairing the garden fence and door for the shipping container.

In other places discussion ensued about how many many people are unprepared to handle the depressive sides of collapse . I think it was a blogger I read, Robin Westenra who commented it concerns him how people reading his blog are affected as many people do not have the fortitude to handle his message and I have admonished Guy McPherson a few times for t pounding home the gloom and doom without much of any uplifting direction. Lets face it, there are lots of good people who cannot handle the cold hard slap in the face doom is and Michael C. Ruppert is a bit of a sad example of when it repeatedly overwhelms.
