I am wondering if we can start a list of good movies ?

I know movies are not the real thing, however, I have found they make me
start thinking and get me prepping.

Some I can think of, not sure if they are very good as everyone
likes a different type of movie.

- I am Legend
- The Day after Tomorrow
- The Day After ( 1993 )
- The Road
- Terminator
- Terminator 2
- Terminator 3
- Alive
- 12 Monkeys
- Children of Men
- The Divide
- Deep Impact
- Road Warrior
- Planet of the Apes
- Waterworld
- A boy and his dog
- The Postman
- The Omega Man
- Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
- The Stand
- The Book of Eli
- Oblivion
- Armageddon

If we are adding zombie and science fiction type with "creatures" there is

Reign of Fire ( strange flying creatures take over the world )

an addition would be series. Jerico is a biggy. Next would be Survivors, both the 1975 original BBC series that I find fantastic ...and the more holywood type modern BBC remake which Mrs C5 prefers. Jeremiah is petty bad...but if you are really board....

don't forget the original Day of the Triffids from the 60s or the original Dawn of the Dead from the 70s. Who can ever forget Snake Pliscan, The Disney kid turned Bad ass in Escape from New York.....or Tremors for everyones favorite survivalist

I'm not sure if some of the other Mad Max movies are post apocalyptic or if it is just the Road Warrior one

Yes, good idea, the series should also be mentioned.

I remember watching a series years ago that seemed to be from England or Scotland,.
I do not remember the name of it, but I was watching it and never saw the ending.
I was probably watching reruns, and perhaps the next season had not been made. It seemed
like a group of people during some post apocalyptic event ( not sure as I started watching late )
were travelling together by vehicle and encounter numerous problems along the way. At one point they are taken
hostage but they manage to escape.

I would really like to see the series from start to finish, but I have no idea of the name.
It is not the Survivors Series . It is from long ago.

The Survivors Series can be found on youtube

I think I know the one you are talking about but cant find it. During my search, I stumbled onto ,The Change, BBC series. Think I will start that today. You might also be thinking of, Threads. Jeeze. I am an apocalypse nerd.

Oh I think I just got it. The Last Train

The last train is on youtube, but they are on a train, and not traveling by vehicle, like the series I remember. I scanned a few of them but
that is not it. Will look around and see if there are any trailers on youtube for " threads " and " the change "

P.S. cover your eyes somewhat when you search for some of these titles on youtube ,, YIKES you get all sorts of stuff

"Threads" seems to be a movie not a series. Found it on youtube. I'm looking for a series I remember but can not remember the name.

Im pretty sure, you are looking for The Last Train. The train was just the start before they are frozen. Now, they are wandering the wasteland in a blue cargo van. ཈

Dragon Day - about a cyber attack on the U.S. The acting was a bit wooden but I enjoyed it.
