I have spent quite literally, hundreds of hours researching and sifting through information and filtering out the less relevant, the bs and the "not worth looking at" stuff! I dare so though, there is more out there than I have found and welcome feedback and further intel!

Denob, do you not know that Jesse Ventura is an ex-Navy Seal? That gives him serious credibility in my book, being ex-military myself. Plus, I am not too concerned with WHO is reporting - but WHAT is being reported! And the information is not hearsay but ACTUAL FACTS. Worth checking out, regardless of what you may think of the source. You know, I'm hoping EVERYTHING is BS and our prepping NEVER has to be used! I have young children and I am more afraid for them and their well being and safety if SHTF so I hope it never hits the fan! Like always say...Prepare to Fail and Fail to Prepare! Best to consider ALL possibilities and they are wrong but being prepared for it and being SAFE than sorry!

Take "Doomsday Preppers" show as a perfect example. There are some clued up people on there and some whacky peeps too! Many of them are fixed on just one scenario only. So wrong! I'm open minded and doing the best I can be, with few resources, too be prepared for any and all scenarios.

I think you should re consider what you are preparing for.
If planet X were real and about to smash into our planet sometime in 2012...it would already be visible to the naked eye.
I cannot and will not call anyone who actually believes in crap like this a fellow prepper.
We all need to be able to discern reality from fantasy.
If I am coming off rude, sorry but so be it...Preppers have a hard enough time being taken seriously without all the alien and doomsday planet crap being thrown out there.
Perhaps you would be better off heading to one of the supposed safe zones for Dec.21st and waiting for the alien spaceship to rescue you.

I think you should focus on what is most likely for you. Rising cost of food, depletion of the ground water supply, loss of grid power, maybe tornado.

Perhaps some of you, including Denob, would be more respectful and actually read my comments more carefully! I have made it quite clear, that I personally, do NOT believe in any one thing, let alone aliens!!! It makes me angry when people comment withou properly reading what I have said. I have compiled a list of differebt things out there and it is up to individuals to make up your own minds but i am not saying that i endorse what they say! Let me remind you yet again, I prep for any situation, not being hung up any any details just the need to survive and protect my children!

Ok guys play nice. Colonelalvin put out a comprehensive list of 2012 conspiracy theories that he has compiled. He also asked for feedback. Many preppers are very practical in approach and show disdain for conspiracy theories in general. I think we can all see that from the comments. Also many have disdain for a lot that is found on YouTube as it is often not the most informed or accurate of sources. Many of us are not shy at giving our opinions so Colonelalvin don't be surprised if you get razzed a bit. The list was posted in good faith and has generated a lot of thought. Let's take one example.

Apparently Denob clearly does not believe in the existence of planet X or to give another name Nibiru. Now proponents of this end of the word theory must be biting their nails right now because as has been said with less than a week to go we can't see it. Now either that means it does not exist or there is a NASA conspiracy to hide the facts. Wait the conspiracy would have to include all the armature astronomers worldwide (me included). I am definitely not part of a conspiracy (well not that one at least). So now we apply Occam's razor and come to the conclusion that Nibiru is just a figment of some imaginations. Will it end there? Of course not because you can't let a good conspiracy theory go to waste. On Dec 22nd or shortly thereafter I am sure there will be all kinds of statements flying around the Internet and yes some of them will be on beloved YouTube. They will take the form Nibiru is real, the date was wrong but it's coming at a later date. So the theory perpetuates itself.

That was just one example. Conspiracy theories play to our fears. It's in human nature to have fears and astute entertainers like Jesse Ventura know how to play on those fears and make a profit from them. You can't blame them as that too is part of human nature. Most conspiracy theories turn out to be unfounded. Some turn out to be very close to the truth. As an example of the former I had never heard of the "lizard people" until I was a member of this forum. Yes I checked it out as I am sure at some point Denob did when he first heard of Nibiru. So now if someone brings up the topic of lizard people I can jump in and say from an informed position "Lizard people? Now that is total BS!" Just as Denob can when it comes to Nibiru.

So let's all continue to discuss issues, try not to take things too personally and in the end benefit each other's thoughts and knowledge.

Sorry, but I just read your posts 3 time again and nowhere do you say that you don't believe in this stuff, as I can see from your above statement, just the oposite!
The closest you come is claiming that you HOPE it's all BS.

Cant be bothered with theories. Natural disaster, CME, earthquake, financial collapse, water and food shortages have all happened in the past and have repeated over time. These are enough to prep and worry about.
