In some dark way a "theory" itself may be the basis of an experiemnt or larger event designed to test or manipulate the general population. To evaluate reactions or to so flood the masses with so many plots and theories that people simply disregard EVERYTHING.... allowing the true plan to slide through unrecognized and unchallenged.

Sometimes conspiracy theories turn out to be true. One of the greatest manipulation of the public and public funds took place over extended period of time in the US. It was the GM street car conspiracy. GM still denies it and as with all conspiracy theories some of what was said is not fact. However the gist of the conspiracy is correct and is historical fact. There are of course two sides to every story, many people call this a conspiracy whereas the major corporations involved would see it as strategic planning.
Denob, I can't be bothered with your continued disrespect to me! I am not here for this bullshit or drama. I am here to share information and ideas with fellow preppers. So wind your neck in because it is stretched out like a f**king giraffe! I am NOT saying nor will I EVER say what I do believe or not believe in. I have stated many times, and echoed here by other preppers, such as ICRCC and JustABear, that there is so much information out there and one can make their own minds as to what they believe or not. I have simply shared a list of links and information for everyone to look at if they so wish. FOR THE LAST TIME, I am prepared for any eventuality and have an open mind. Hey guys, firstly my apologies with my BS statement. They were not meant to be directed an an individual but more at the basis of a lot of those YouTube links.
I would not pretent to be able to tell people what they should or shouldn't believe in and or prepare for, but there are some things that I just cannot subscribe to, being a sane, grown man...As soon as I hear the mention of zombies for example, you have lost me...believe what you will, but I am more based in the possibility of real situations that have happened in the past, and will most likely happen again...earthquakes, Tsunami, rampant virus' and economic collapse are more of what I try to set myself up for along with other things, but not brimstone and fire, or the coming of 20 days and nights of darkness.
Again, to be clear, I was not directing them at anyone, and do appreciate all the wisdom and advise that I have taken from this site in my short time here.

We all have different things we believe we need to prepare for, and I am not one to tell any of you what you should or shouldn't believe in.
That being said, I do however draw the line at irrational conspiracy theories about illuminati controlling alien activity.
This type of hype is nothing other than detrimental to what we all believe in.
If anyone wants to discuss aliens, please find another, more appropriate forum...this is NOT THE PLACE.
ICRCC, I should state that conspiracy theories are sometimes true. There is some element of truth with conspiracy especially when government is involved. The theories I meant are that of a alien type deal. Gotta sift through a mountain of rubble to find an ounce of gold in many conspiracies though. I do believe in many that are grounded in science however.

I get that sir, and I do call BS when I see...I just never meant it to be directed at an individual, just at some of the subject matter which IMHO is a bunch of useless inuendo that does nothing to help educate...it is meant to frighten and misinform.

Ok if anyone wants research perhaps one should look to history since it was reality.
Look into all aspects of The French Revolution. 1 months wages for a loaf of bread, turmoil in government, killing of its own people with the Guillotine, war and more. It is a fascinating time in history. What happened to the French at that time is crazy compared to our time in history. We have it good.
Prep for that and you are set. TFR is a real SHTF situation.

Yuppers, history is where we should be turning an eye too. It always seems to want to repeat itself.
If for nothing else, then learning on how they handled it back then and learn from it. Mistakes or otherwise.
Mayhaps its cause many think..it will never happen again.

A sense of humor is absolutely essential to survival.
Take "Doomsday Preppers" show as a perfect example. There are some clued up people on there and some whacky peeps too! Many of them are fixed on just one scenario only. So wrong! I'm open minded and doing the best I can be, with few resources, too be prepared for any and all scenarios.
I love Doomsday Preppers because its so much more fun watching people live.
There are some interesting things on the show mixed in with all of the ridiculousness. I agree completely with the comment above and try to follow the same mindset.

I watched half of a single Doomsday Preppers. They're TV wannabe's. They just wanna be on TV. They're idiots.
They make us all look bad.
I don't have cable - so I've never seen Doomsday Preppers. I do download shows and watch them though - it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get shows, so I'm pretty selective about what I watch. Is this show educational at all, or just intertainment?
