Been looking at the you's about making wood gasifiers, but havn't seen any about about pot stand height form the flame.
just the alcohol mini types and that's 3/4 to an inch
But I'm wondering about the tin can types
Plan to make some in the spring,it's a little cold in the shed today.
- 22 and with wind -30 👿
Thank you

Hey just/fine. My husband makes gasifiers that can run up to 20/30 hp. We have certainly played around with little backpack sized tin can gasifiers as well. If you are going for the backpack variety pot stand only needs to be high enough to let a little air in. Keep in mind though if you have it working right and you get the blue flame around the top it gets pretty hot and you can boil water really quickly. Half inch sould be fine - the higher up you go the longer it takes to boil water. If this was helpful great! if I misunderstood what you were asking perhaps clarification would help me!;-) PS You and my husband must think the same apparently - he figures a sub is the way to go!
