I found it an interesting read. The author is esl so the grammar is not the best. Remember when reading this that he framed the rules by confirming that things will be different in every region and that some things will be different depending on the size of community you are living in. I think he survived Sarajevo by the sounds of it.

Wow! Great barter tips. I never thought of some of them, that is for certain. The discussion in the replies is also an eye opener.
Teaching from theory is one thing but teaching from experience is quite another. I read a couple of entries, book marked his site and will dig into it in the future.
