It happens over a long period of time. Some say the mountains were formed over millions of years. That is fractions of an inch every year. Some claim that L.A. would fall into the ocean but that is a myth according to scientists. There may be a tsunami that comes inland and takes a while to recede creating the illusion that cities are gone.

Ah Gravlore but remember Atlantis.
Atlantis is myth to me, that is until they find it. Theoretical science works the same for me. Both myth and theory are great tools to get the mind and imagination moving.
