i am not sure about laws for any type of weapon but if i can walk into a store and buy it no problem then i would assume there is no law against it. since i can buy bows and arrows and knives without a license then to me it is not illegal.

It can be a little more complicated. For instance you can buy a knife but you cannot carry that knife concealed. Also there may be municipal bylaws that may apply depending on where you live

But still good info I own a take down recurve bow got from wholesale sports didn't say anything to me I got arrows and tips to no problem them took some of the arrows and made take down arrows to fit it all in a nice carry bag I'm making for it like Rambos lol

Make sure the gun safe is bolted down though.
Sorry I just saw this one. Ranger there is NO requirement in the act that states a gun safe has to be bolted down. It only sates that is weapons are stored in a safe it must be locked. The bolting down idea is a misconception held by some police forces and even some gun owners. When challenged they have all had to reverse their decisions on this matter. When you think about it makes sense as you do not have to have a gun safe a trigger lock is all that is required.
