Hey everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these tactical tomahawks? Also, any Pros or Cons of either brand?
I've narrowed my choices down to the United Cutlery M48 Tactical Tomahawk and the Cold Steel Trench Hawk. Both seem like decent tools and would be a great addition to anyones preps or BOB. Unfortunately, I'm going to be ordering online and will be unable to personally hold and inspect them for myself.
any input would be appreciated.
Cheers
Hopefully this will help

When this first came out, I asked several large store personnel and they replied that they do get plenty of broken returns.
Why don't I also take you on a different train of thought. If you really want a halk, have you considered a professional grade shinglers axhammer. This was my weapon of choice for several years, and without talking about my past too deeply, has been in my hand with someone pinned down with the other, not once but twice. One of the plus sides of this tool is that it also has "Real" tool usages and will also save you legal problems if kept in your car...if you keep it in a tool belt along with a hard hat and safety vest. The tool belt also provides you with SHTF....TOOLS. The vest and hard hat also makes you less conspicuous in certain places by being more conspicuous. If I wanted to smash through a door...and then nail into place boards over the door I just smashed through...Ild want a shinglers axhammer
I have a Tactical Harness and I have a Tool Belt. The Tool Belt is more Useful.
Thanks.. That is exactly the reason I made this post.. I was questioning the strength of a poly handle... and the ones with full aluminum or tool steel handles are WAY out of my current price range..
I do carry a Stanley FuBar in my car tool kit.. So i'm mostly looking for a tactical tomahawk for self defense and work around camp.. I liked the United Cutlery M48 because it has an 8" "knife" edge on the top and is a feature that i haven't found on any other tomahawk.
