one of the quickest ways to introduce something into the bloodstream is through the mouth (sub-lingual)
so, here is a tonic, made from ingredients most of us know have curative/beneficial properties
(if it is too strong, skip the gargle, and toss a half ounce back, chase with water)
Master Tonic
Raw Unfiltered Unbleached Non-distilled Apple Cider Vinegar (with the 'mother')
1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves
1 part fresh chopped White Onion (or hottest onions)
1 part fresh grated Ginger Root
1 part fresh grated Horseradish Root
1 part fresh chopped Cayenne Peppers or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, or Scotch Bonnets, etc.
(personally, I grow jalapenos & hungarian hot wax, so I would use those; habenero and the others = handle with care)
Fill a glass jar 3/4 of the way full w/equal parts by volume (i.e. a cupful each) of the above fresh chopped and grated herbs. Then fill jar to the top with raw, unfiltered, unbleached, non-distilled apple cider vinegar. Close and shake vigorously and then top off the vinegar if necessary.
Shake at least once a day for two weeks, then filter the mixture through a clean piece of cotton (old T-shirt, etc.), bottle and label. Make sure that when you make this tonic that you shake it every time you walk by it, a minimum of once per day. Remember that all the herbs and vegetables should be fresh (and organically grown if possible) and use dried herbs only in an emergency.
This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh. It's power should not be underestimated. This formula is a modern day plague tonic and when added to an incurable routine it can cure the most chronic conditions and stubborn diseases. it stimulates maximum blood circulation, while putting the best detoxifying herbs into the blood. This formula is not just for the sniffles, it has helped to turn around the deadliest infections like some of the new mutated killer viruses that defy conventional antibiotics.
The dosage is 1/2 to 1 ounce, two or more times daily (1- 2 Tbs.). Gargle and swallow. (Don't dilute with water.)
For ordinary infections, 1 dropper full taken 5-6 times a day will deal with most conditions. It can be used during pregnancies, is safe for children (use smaller doses and as a food is completely non-toxic. Make up plenty as it does not need refrigeration and lasts indefinitely without any special storage conditions.
Ingredient properties:
-Garlic cloves (anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-parasitical)
-White Onion, or hottest onions available (similar properties to garlic)
-Ginger Root (increases circulation to the extremities)
-Horseradish Root (increases blood flow to the head)
-Cayenne Peppers, or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, -or Scotch Bonnets, etc. (a great blood stimulant).
Pro-biotic: antiviral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitical.

Thanks got freedom, certainly sounds like it would flush any nasties out 🙂
Dried & ground very hot Cayenne Chilli Pepper can also be used for heart attack patients. One teaspoon immediately straight into the mouth is said to very possibly save the persons' life during an attack.

I will ask that anyone who proposes a medical treatment provide a link to the source of the information. What you describe could make any attempt to resucitate the casualty impossible. You risk tissue damage to the oral and pharyngeal mucous membranes which will occlude the airway. As well you will probably introduce a highly irritating substance into the lungs. I have no problem with anyone who uses naturopathy or voo doo for that matter on themselves where THEY are the one who will suffer any potential negative or harmful outcome. People read this stuff and in many cases take it as Gospel. I find it EXTREMELY irresponsible and dangerous when garbage is touted and "sold" as real treatments. I am a Reg. Nurse and have worked in an ER for over 20 years so yes... I DO know what I am talking about. When you put this stuff out there for the gullible and trusting are YOU prepared to accept responsibility if it kills someone?

I do apologise, it certainly was not my intention to offer a substitute to professional medical advice.
Finally, we show that topical application of capsaicin, which selectively activates C sensory fibers in the skin,
mimics the cardioprotective effect of RPCT against myocardial infarction.
on a personal note,
i have a friend who had a heart attack,
and after began carrying cayenne pepper extract with her
because she is rural
subsequently had 2 more attacks,
but this time the cayenne pepper extract was administered
and helped alleviate much/some of the damage,
whilst en route to the hospital
if you want to go chasing capsaicin rabbits;
in 2006 they discovered capsaicin caused 80% of prostate cancer cells to go apoptosis (commit suicide)
here is a direct quote from the researchers and the link:
According to a team of researchers from the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in collaboration with colleagues from UCLA, the pepper component caused human prostate cancer cells to undergo programmed cell death or apoptosis.
Capsaicin induced approximately 80 percent of prostate cancer cells growing in mice to follow the molecular pathways leading to apoptosis. Prostate cancer tumors treated with capsaicin were about one-fifth the size of tumors in non-treated mice.
“Capsaicin had a profound anti-proliferative effect on human prostate cancer cells in culture,” said Sören Lehmann, M.D., Ph.D., visiting scientist at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai and the UCLA School of Medicine. “It also dramatically slowed the development of prostate tumors formed by those human cell lines grown in mouse models.”
aside from the master tonic recipe above,
i can post the recipe for the capsaicin tea,
if anyone is interested, and the mods deem it appropriate

I read the same things got freedom. I usually eat about 1-2 tbsp cayenne a day with meals. Love the spice.
Please keep in mind when reading these posts that members are NOT OFFERING MEDICAL ADVICE!
As JAB said "People read this stuff and in many cases take it as Gospel" this can be dangerous.
Members post things that they believe works for them and they do this in good faith. If you, as an adult, choose to try this for yourself it is your decision. Proceed with extreme caution. If you then find this works for you that is fine. It does not mean that it will necessarily work for someone else.
Got Freedom wrote "I can post the recipe for the capsaicin tea". This is recipe that I would personally be interested in and would love to try it. Again this is a personal decision and I am not at all suggesting that everyone rush out and try it.
i agree
i am hopefully only encouraging adults to decide for themselves
if there be any truth, not recommending anything
that first link in my last post is from a medical journal,
and although it can be tough slogging, it is worth the read
because it does corroborate what gracefromspace said,
albeit a different delivery (transdermal as opposed to sublingual/oral)
now the second link references a study done jointly by UCLA and Cedars-Sinai in 2006,
detailing the relationship between apoptosis of prostate cancer cells and capsaicin,
and it again should be at least perused for your own satisfaction
(because none of you know me, and even if you did, do your own due diligence)
after the cayenne pepper tea recipe below,
i posted another link to a different research paper on this relationship
dealing with oral cancer cells and capsaicin
(including pics and graphical representations of their findings)
Cayenne Pepper Tea
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper powder (buy it in bulk and save some $)
- mix with 8 oz. warm distilled/pure water
- take thrice daily (slowly drinking, chug it and you may gag/cough)
- gradually increase amount till you acclimatize to 1tsp per glass
( i used to take the pill form,
but found that shock of the capsaicin, when the coating degraded, hard on the stomach
this method should alleviate that issue)
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3381473/
Capsaicin, a spicy component of hot pepper, is widely consumed as a spice or food additive in Korea and other countries. Although there have been many previous reports of the tumor suppressive effects of capsaicin in human cancer cells, few studies have been undertaken to elucidate capsaicin-induced apoptosis in human oral cancer cells. In our current study, we demonstrated that capsaicin induces apoptosis in FaDu human pharyngeal squamous carcinoma cells via mitochondrial pathways. Capsaicin inhibits the growth and proliferation of FaDu cells in a dose- and time-dependent manners, and the apoptotic response was evidenced by characteristics such as cytochrome c release into cytosol, active caspase-3 generation, the expression of pro-apoptotic (or anti-apoptotic) markers, chromatin condensation in the cellular nucleus, and nuclear DNA fragmentation. The activity of caspase-3 was found to increase proportionally with the exposure time to capsaicin, suggesting that the cytochrome c release into the cytosol induced the apoptotic response by activating caspase-3, probably through an autocatalytic mechanism mediated by caspase-9.

i'm not trying to say this is the magic bullet for cancer
only referencing medical journal studies to add to the discussion
another interesting study
this time dealing with pancreatic cells
the important note here (beyond the obvious)
was their finding that normal cells were not harmed by the capsaicin
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3102063/
Taken together our studies provide detailed mechanism how capsaicin treatment causes ROS generation through mitochondria and depleted intracellular antioxidants resulting in mitochondrial damage and apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells. On the other hand, normal pancreatic epithelial cells were resistant to the effects of capsaicin.

Thank you for the links got freedom.
I would like to respond to the reply posts of this thread with the following;
I live in an isolated rural area which is 1 hour 15 min from a hospital, 1 hour from a medical emergency centre, and 45 min from ANY emergency services. I have no immediate close neighbours or any other person who could come to my aid in under 30 minutes. I don’t have the luxury of being able to just pop into a doctor or pharmacy at the drop of a hat, it is simply not as easy as that. I live with the reality everyday that something could happen to me at anytime and I must be able to help myself in an emergency, which I might add, I have had to do on occasions. My husband works away from home 5 days a week. At times we have no power or phone communications either, so cannot always assume to be able to call for help if needed. I have a good first aid supply and grow many of my own medicinal herbs and plants and make my own remedies for everyday issues I can deal with and treat myself. This is the way I choose to live, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
We are apparently all here on this forum as members with a common interest to share ideas, knowledge, and opinions, in preparation to live and survive what we all believe will be forthcoming changes to the way we live in the future. This also includes the uncertainty of what emergency services, medical treatments and medicines may or may not be available to us, especially following a major event.
I am fortunate that I had a career spanning over 25 years in the pharmaceutical and natural health supplements industry which provided me with much very useful information, even more so now that I prep. Alternative medicine is something that an individual person must decide for themselves, if and when it is an appropriate means for self treatment, that may be considered. I DO NOT DEBATE THIS. Should a time come in future where you cannot receive conventional medical treatment for illnesses or injury particularly following a major disaster or SHTF situation, or perhaps where no emergency services can reach you, you are going to have to help yourself as best you can with what you have.
I like to look at topics like this and lay the advice/information up against what has been and is happening in the real world. If you look around the world and look at the diets that different people eat around the world, for the most part spicy hot recipes tend to come from hotter climates more often than not. (Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, East Indian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern etc.)
One thing that most people living in those areas had/have in common is the lack of ability to refrigerate food to help prevent/retard the growth of those nasty little things that make humans sick. This begs the question of 'If it burns your mouth does it also burn things that live in your gut that really shouldn't be there?' Personally when I have a cold or flu, I tend to feel better if I eat some hotter foods. I'll sprinkle red pepper or salsa (don't knock it until you try it) on my eggs at breakfast. Have an almost fire starter helping of horse radish with some roast beef or a bowl of chili that should come with a health warning for supper or add a few drops of Tabasco to a bowl of soup. For some reason I believe I feel better, faster, than I do if I simply maintain my fairly typically western diet.
Many years ago I was 'dragged' out to a bar when I was not feeling very good at all due to a nasty head cold. I ran into a friend who used to bar tend before I met him who offered to 'fix my wagon' when he found out how rotten I was feeling. He came back with a shot glass with a green liquid in it. I was warned and it didn't taste very good but after 'tossing it back' I started feeling better in short order. That vile liquid was Green Chartreuse, "The work of a 16th century alchemist with a great knowledge of herbs and with the skill to blend, infuse, macerate the 130 of them to form a perfect balanced tonic." http://www.chartreuse.fr/history-of-the-liqueurs;article;40;uk.html To this day I like to keep a 375 ML bottle of Green Chartreuse in the medicine chest above the bathroom sink.
I have in the past become quite ill from prescriptions that were supposed to make me feel better. I have come to the conclusion that for myself, in many cases the 'old home remedies' work better than some miracle drug that some scientist spent months in a lab developing before it was tested and approved for use on humans.
I am neither a medical professional nor dispensing medical advice. I am simply sharing with others something that works for me and has worked for other people I know. Your results may vary.
