Hey people,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just wanted to introduce myself here. I have been interested in Survivalism and Prepping for a long time, but honestly, I'm really just making a start now on getting myself, my family and my friends ready for what might just be right around the corner.

I would like to touch base with local Preppers and fellow Preppers the world over.

All the best my friends.

Hello and welcome to the site. I am originally from Hammertown as well. Just wanted to say hello and mention that. Might be a good source for at least bouncing ideas off of. A lot of the locales have changed, buildings and shopping centres sitting where there was once fields.

Welcome to the boards and yes you are among lions there in your town. Are you thinking of heading South at all out of the city or?

Cheers!

Whatever tomorrow brings,… I will be there! 😉

I only moved to Hamilton myself about 6 years ago, we use to live just outside of Vancouver, BC. Though, I'm not originally from there, my wife's family have always and still do live in the lower mainland.

I'm actually thinking of relocating to Nova Scotia to buy a small farmstead, or just a home with a lot of acreage. But thinking about it is as far as it will probably go.

The extent of my planning and prepping right now really revolves around having good food stocks for a good 90days. Making sure I have good survival tools and the ability to hunker down if needs be, along with developing alternative heat and power sources. I know lots of people talk about bug out plans, but as of right now, there's no where for me to go. Of course, that's something to work on too. Finding a good group of like minded people is my main priority, along with my stockpiles.
