Hello from Parkland area of Manitoba. There must be other preppers near here it's the perfect place. Affordable rural area with thick forests and rich farmland. We have a huge garden, many types of fruit and have raised sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, no livestock at present.

Welcome to the board. I think you've made a good choice as to place. I've thought about the area myself. How deep is the water?

You mean how deep is the well? 16 feet for me but quite variable from farm to farm. Luckily we seem to always get enough rain for the crops and enough slope to never flood. Also lots of wood to be found woodstoves are popular.
