Hi everyone....I'm really glad to have found this group. I'm pretty new to prepping, just in the last year or so, but I'm doing what I can when I can. I'm a single parent so it's very hard at times to be able to put stuff up, but I'm getting there. It would be nice to talk to and connect with other preppers in the area as I don't know anyone who does this. I tell my family as much as I can about my thoughts and feelings about the future and what's to come, and while they agree with me, they don't do anything to prepare for it. I find so many people either live in a bubble or they think the government will swoop in and save us all. I don't have that much faith in that theory. Anyway, glad to be here!
welcome to the forums! There's lots of great ideas being bandied about on here, for all levels and budgets of prepping. A great thread for you to check would be the "What did you prep this week" thread in general discussions, it holds lots of good examples of preps that are no bigger than an extra bottle or two of something when you go to the grocery store.
No one can do it all immediately, but every little bit helps immensely!

Oh sweetheart, I don't have to run faster than the bear...
Hi BCPrepGirl
Welcome to the forum, there's a ton of information on the internet on how to get started. I'm just over the bridge from you in Surrey. Canadian Tire, sale items from grocery stores, Costco, Lee Valley and Wells are all close by. Costco online has some emergency 72 hours kits, Wells has canning supplies. I've also seen a fruit & vegetable store advertising case lot foods on Vancouver Craig's list, I think they were in either Coquitlam or the Port Coquitlam area.

Thanks for the welcomes and the suggestions! I have a question regarding private messaging. I've received a couple of messages but I'm not able to respond to them. Is there something I have to do to have that enabled?
Thanks
Welcome BCPrepGirl.
