Just stopping in to say howdy all.
I'm from the Kootenays in BC, I run a contracting business.
Just recently started thinking about the necessity of being properly prepared. The wife isn't as on board as I am, so it is a bit of an uphill battle.
Got my PAL/RPAL.
Working on the food/seed storage. As well as getting some gardens established.
Getting as many non power using tools and equipment as I can, radios with wind up chargers, etc.
I have a long way to go to be where I want to be.
howdy,
i understand the wife thing, mine is intent on day by day and dont sweat the small stuff. which is good because she attends to the children and daily living. she allows me to pursue my direction of survivalism. which gives us an option if needed. the seed storage, food and water thing is a good start. while i was in the bush what i needed was mobile shelter or a safe second retreat camp set up to survive elements, hide out or bunker down, with propper storage for food water and sanitary needs. now that i have it, im looking at whats next...networking. growing my contact base for futer conections. maybe getting together ocasionaly with like minded folks... or just passing ideas and solutions in e-mail or fb... in any case its good to see others on the quest.
Hello from the Island! Same wife thang as well! Prepping can be overwhelming when there is so much to do and your the only one participating! I've been at it 2 years now and I'm still not anywhere near where I want to be! Costs a lot.But going to be worth it in the end!
