Hey all, saying hello, and thanks for this forum, I have been itching to connect with fellow local preppers
I'm in the Vancouver area.
I have spent about 6 - 10 months reading all sorts of material and downloaded tons of info, some extreme some practical.
built myself a canned food rack that load's at one end and dispenses at the other, this way I rotate stock.
I'm just getting into Geo-caching (navigational / healthy activity skills) so if there are any members that are into this sport I would love to get together for hunts occasionally.
wondering if there are monthly meets or anything.
Anyway, looking fwd to sharing and receiving.

Hi Awolbc
Welcome to the forum, there are a few of us from BC. I haven't heard of any meet-ups but May 1-7th is Canada's national preparedness week http://www.getprepared.gc.ca/knw/epweek-eng.aspx and last year I did see advertised a hour long meeting about 72 hours kits. Haven't seen anything advertised yet but with the earthquakes in Japan maybe there will be something geared to earthquake preparedness.

Welcome, Awolbc. I would like to hear more about your can rack. Maybe you could share your instructions in the food storge or canning sections?
Hope for tomorrow; Learn from yesterday; Live for today.

Hi Sue
well I got the idea from a you tube vid

(sorry mods if linking is taboo).
I modified materials a bit and used 3/8 plywood....DON'T
I think 1/2 " would be better all those cans are very heavy, the wood sags.
I made a 3 sided box around the bottom of the legs for stuff like candles, batteries etc:
mine sits against a wall so it has a solid curtain in the front and "drape style" on the ends.
If you got a hubby he can build it better than me, as I'm the worlds worst carpenter.....
but maybe after I do the improvements I may post a vid.
