I heard about this show and thought it sounded promising. It's like homesteaders Duck Dynasty in a sense. It's a Discovery program so if you have cable you may be able to watch it.

I've watched a few episodes - good rough life.

I like this show, and watch it when I can. One episode the wife of one of the younger sons, did some pressure canning, (I think it was salmon), which got me hooked. Another show that is not bad, is Mountain Men. Hunting, trapping, a little farming and living off the land.
