Good source of information for breeding meat rabbits for your table. Australians breeding rabbits for meat have to deal with preventing diseases such as myxomotosis and calicivirus in their stock, but the information is still viable.anyone breeding meat rabbits? Are the big New Zealand white's the best kind?

If you're buying in Ottawa, don't bother with pets stores. Most will only carry smaller breeds, not really suitable for meat production. Your best bet is Kijiji. There are quite a few meat rabbit breeders in the Ottawa and Valley.
