This event was posted on the blog last year. We have expanded it this year to include information and skills sharing beyond chickens. Topics include: Poultry Incubation, Raising Turkeys, Introduction to Raising Goats and a beginners session in Beekeeping. This is our 3rd year offering such an event. It brings together people very experienced in growing their own food and those wanting to learn how. It's only $5 donation for admission, a great way to get connected with people with similar interest.
WHEN: Sunday, April 26, 2015 TIME: 1:00 – 4:30 WHERE: Gillies Community Hall Corner of Highway 608 & Highway 595, Gillies, Ontario

I will be offering the poultry incubation session. I have been incubating for 9 years. Currently, I have 48 partridge chantecler, 12 whetan maran's and 12 buff Orpington eggs in my incubator, all due before the event on the 26th. So I will be able to give an update, lessons learned (yes, always learning) at the session.
