Hi,
I'm Carl Shannon, owner of Bear Falls Wilderness Campground. My campground is 250 acres along the Medway River, very isolated, full of natural resources and lovely. I am running a one man show here, have lots of land and lots of gear but not enough time. I am in need of other Preppers interested in Homesteading on my land, collectively we help each other out.
You can visit bearfalls.com for info about my place.
If you are interested in helping out, and being a part of this, please email me bearfallswilderness@gmail.com

Few mature preppers would just show up at your door.

Why don't you slow down and become an active poster here and let people get to know you.

Why did I join Canadian Preppers Network?
Well I was going to join the UK Network but those bloody Brits don't know how to speak proper English! 😉

HI Carl, hope your sufficiently snuggled in this winter. I looked at your website, and you do have a beautiful spot.

It doesn't look like you really made any headway finding folks to help paint your fence, at least not through this channel. One of the things I have found here in Atlantic Canada, is that with so much inexpensive land available, just about anybody with even a modest income can have an acreage with mixed wood stand, flowing water, and multiple 100 year old outbuildings in need of more than just routine maintenance. It will be tough to get folks to come together and build community on your chunk of heaven, and particularly if you intend to keep just your name on the deed. Plus, most folks just don't have their eyes open wide enough yet to understand the advantages of digging trenches together, rather than foxholes on their own.

One thing you might look into as Spring approaches, (hopefully), is to bringing on some woofers to help work the soil. These aren't folks who will likely want to settle there, but if you are kind and treat them fairly, they will work hard for you. My in laws up in CB who have an organic farm have had real success with folks through these programs.

Blessings of warmth and wisdom my friend - Skillman
