Hello, I am just beginning the journey of being prepared and have been watching many videos and there seems to be varied opinions about how much water a person needs to pile up for one person for a year. In my city I just turn on the water and never had to think about how much water I use or would need if a disaster struck. Any ideas and comments are appreciated...Kind Regards...Lindsay

Well, welcome Lindsay. I say everything starts with....where are you at right now? (in water consumption, as you mention that). Once you know where you are, then you can plot where to go.

Give a man a gun, and he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob the world.

Welcome to the forum CanadianBeginner (Lindsay). As peppercorn says it depends on your current consumption and how the water is used, drinking, cooking, cleaning, flushing, etc.
