I am glad I found this post I am a military member who in the last year or so after seeing Doomsday Prepper's thought what if? So I now have a bug out bag and stores in my house just incase. I know its not a sprint being a prepper its more like a marathon so I am hoping to share and also get idea's from the other members. My combat experience has given me a good foundation to build on and am happy to be here!

It can be an immensely useful tool. For those of you new to prepping you may find some local meets in your area. They are well worth attending. However there is a two day Provincial Prepper Meet in Huntsville in the weekend of July 20th.

A good portion of the presentations are directed towards those new to prepping and should be of great interest. In addition to the presentations there will be vendors of prepping related goods present and lots of bartering tables. Not to mention some awesome door prizes. I have been prepping for about 18 months, and have made some decent progress on my own. But Its time to get into another gear and I really want to meet some like minded people who are interesting in sharing ideas, experiences, and possibly collaborating to accomplish some goals a bit quicker.
