A short introduction of myself and my family/team !
We are Dutch nationals, the other peanut butter country, and we live on the French/German/Swiss border in a region called Alsace.
After having lived a good number of years in Romania and Rep. Moldova, we have build hands on experience in prepping. Life is great in these countries, but the reality outside the cities means thinking ahead and planning. We have learned survival skills from people that had to survive a total economic collapse after communism. More recently we logically see the situation degrade in Europe with the chain reaction Greece, Spain, Italy. Cultural and religious clashes in France, Belgium. And now we have unclear things going on in Ukraine. This is almost our back garden. Each one of them is a good enough reason to prepare for the worst. Not one scenario.
What we see in Europe is a number of national prepping groups and networks, mostly in local language. From my own working experience I know that the vast number of cultural differences and languages make it a challenge to organize a pan-European prepping network. Combined my wife and I speak Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Romanian. We do our best to give a helping hand where needed. And share our experience of real life prepping where there is no way to stockpile large volumes of supplies for the simple reason there is nowhere to get it from in certain regions (logically you can buy supplies in France and Germany). We can build supplies where we live now, but we consider it an interesting challenge to prepare with our experience from the east. Because we saw it work. And we also realize when SHTF, borders will close and large groups of population will attempt to move around, resulting in enormous chaos. The chance of a safe haven will be minimal near our home. Therefore we must be prepared in such manner to bug out remotely (well over a 1.000Km !) and find/fight a way through chaos.
In a future series of posts we will share ideas.

Thank you EUprepper, for sharing your situation there.I have roots over there.
In comparison, we have it quite easy so far.
Are there any localized groups forming to help each other?...pre-selecting a common location to buy and to build upon ?
Of course, a 1000km location would be a challenge to arrange and move to unless every participant is serious, and has the willingness to create a code of conduct and values which everyone can live with.
Looking forward to your further postings!.....villager
Looking forward to reading more of your posts and reading about your experiences, Thankyou
