Hi. Im 18 am going to be graduating this upcoming June . I've been doing some reserach and I think the U.S could go into an economic anytime soon and enter a hyperinflation stage. I would like to know about how to prepare. Im going to be moving to St. Thomas shortly after I graduate with my parents. Im in the process of getting employed but still unemployed.
The problem is that my parents "don't get it" and "think everything will be fine" so I need to be around like minded people, so I can have a higher chane of survival. When is it possible that I could meet with you guys?
Welcome to the forum. Since you're young and not yet employed, you'll be starting small. I'm only guessing but your first job may not have any deduction-based savings plan. That's fine for now. Put some of your money into buying silver bars. At your age it doesn't really matter if they don't turn out to be high-earning, it's still a savings plan by any measure. And they'll likely hold value in a hyperinflation scenario.
For general prepping, a cheap place to start is a water filter. I'll find you a link.
Here you go:
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00FA2RLX2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Only $26, and supposedly filters 100,000 gallons. It's the best deal on a filter I've seen.
Oh and about those silver bars: RESIST the urge to tell your friends you've got a box full of silver under your bed. You've probably got atleast one person in your circle who's gonna turn out to be no good. Operational security (OPSEC). Learn it and live by it 😉
Welcome!!! Never too young to start. I second what the others have said. Think about your most basic needs and start there. Water, shelter, food. We hold meetings in London every month or two and you are welcome to come out and meet other like-minded people and learn new things. Just keep an eye out for posts called London Area Meeting. Cheers!
