I hadn't given it much thought myself..but I was emptying out a bathroom cabinet, and came across these. They had gotten pushed to the back over the years but I remembered when I first stocked this cabinet and it was 21 years ago....Plus/minus 1 year...anyway the paper covering is all wrinkled up now....I opened up one bar and a little piece off the top right corner came off, my finger is pointing to the dry flake.I could tell that the surface of the bar looked dryer than a new bar does (less sheen) and felt dryer but still had a little slippery feel to it...
I washed up with it, and once wet it seemed to lather right up...So now you know, 21 years for sure (this brand) I don't see why it shouldn't be good in another 10. so I am putting them back away and will check them at the 30 year mark

I put a reminder in my calendar to check this thread in ten years. In the meantime.

I didn't check out your link at the time, just did now, and that was informative. They even commented on that brand of soap I have and according to them shelf life is infinite, interesting, it looks like that's the one to have.
