This add just popped up, https://www.kijiji.ca/v-electronics/grande-prairie/heavy-duty-5000-watt-inverter-400-or-trade-for-generator/1373135177?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
The inverter is two years old, 5000 watts with 10 000 surge. He is asking a reasonable price of 400.00 .
This model is a monster size, as you can tell from the pictures. I have been using this model for about a year now to power the whole house and I love it. The fan rarely comes on as it takes a continuos load of 600 watts or more to trigger it, and it has a feature that I like in that it has overload protection that when you trigger that function it disconnects the load briefly, then re boots and retries to drive the load. I like this design better than some, where the overload protection shuts down the output but you have to go to the inverter and manualy cycle the on switch for it to restart.
I like this inverter so much I have two of this model. I used this model hard last year doing lots of welding and I have some steel coming monday and will start using it hard again this year, its runs everything I throw at it including large motors with high start currents.

I likely should have put this in its own thread, but since its the exact same inverter I will put it here, https://www.kijiji.ca/v-electronics/calgary/5000w-power-inverter/1373708439?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
Note he is sell this at twice the price, Its to high for a used inverter IMHO, but likely about 400 less than a new one, so if you are someone who was going to buy a new one anyway, this is damn close to new and 400 cheaper. This guy is in Calgary and it is OBO so maybe he will go for less,
