Just came across this, it was somewhat interesting, I guess they did this back in the 70s, I remember the 70s....well parts of it.
It looks like getting along with others in such close quarters was of great importantance. I would likely fail at it. It was also interesting to listen to the participants comments looking back from a 20 year perspective.

This reminded me of when I instructed for Canadian Outward Bound on Vancouver Island (Strathcona Park Lodge) in the early 70's. A group of people holding to a communal way of life. I agree Peppercorn, getting along with the many personalities is key. Climbers (like Surfers) have a way about them. Many are like a bunch of Hippies just wanting to do their own thing; no worries...
None you improvise, one (or more) is luxury.
