I guess its time to play Alpha Smurf and show off why I have been so busy. There is a BC hippy saying. "He who smokes pot in the sunshine cuts firewood in the rain". I think we need a Prepper Equivalent like, "He who plays paintball and goes on camping trips and calls that prepping...will eat in soup kitchens and homeless shelters when the collapse doesn't work out as planned". Well, you cant say that I am not consistent.

This is where I am at so far....and the summer is far from over. I have so much more to do. Winter is coming.

Keep up the good work! I'm somewhat envious of having the room to have such a nice garden...

cool!!

About the dugout.

How deep is it?

How steep are the sides?

How did you fill it - rainwater only?

Did you line it?

Are you going to aerate it?

What about mosquito breeding?

How much did it cost you?

Sheeesh, I'm nosey!!!

Watching this makes me drool. Seriously, though, what you are setting up is truly fantastic.

Someones been a busy camper....that toolbelt seems to suit you well!

Did you buy the solar panels or make them?

We bought quality on that one. Built the frame though.

I was hoping to take it allittle easier this year. Maybe even disengage from prepping all together for a year just to become alittle more well rounded...but that's looking like a no go. The windmill tower has to be built as well as the solar water heater and a half dozen other immediate need jobs. We will only do a quarter of the gardening though and just focus on keeping the deep mulch coming.

This is a wonderful set up, love the old/new bits. I don't think we need to throw out everything modern, just find the right balance of what works.

Why did I join Canadian Preppers Network?
Well I was going to join the UK Network but those bloody Brits don't know how to speak proper English! 😉

Well done,

I am partial to the barred rocks as well.

I am hoping for our first chicks this year. Our rooster has been busy, and now has his flock in line for some serious breeding:)
